Non-Linear Movement ~ a powerful intuitive Movement method

As most of the content on my website is in German but I´m also offering my Non-Linear Movement classes and 1:1 Embodiment Coaching Sessions in English, I want to share some more about these things here : )

Let´s start with one of my favourite Embodiment practices: The Non-Linear Movement Method.

What to expect in a Non-Linear Movement class

A regular Non-Linear Movement class lasts for 1 hour (including an introduction to the method) and it takes place online via Zoom. But don´t worry, you will spend most of the time on your mat, not in front of the screen : )

I will briefly explain the basic principles of this intuitive movement method, then ask you to position yourself on your mat/blanket as shown, close your eyes and let yourself be guided by my instructions, but above all by your body and your feelings.

Depending on the theme I´m choosing for the class (Moving What You Are Feeling, Release, Calling In, Pleasure), I will support you with a suitable playlist that I have put together and I´ll give you plenty of time between the individual instructions to arrive at yourself and connect with your body and feelings and: to express them through your movement.

At the end, I will give you enough time to relax and integrate your experience before we´ll close the class.

During the movement practice you can turn off your camera and fully use and enjoy the intimacy of your own space.

What do you need?

  • A yoga mat or something similar.
    An additional blanket is also welcome. Comfortable clothing in which you can move freely.

  • Internet access, Zoom on your device and good audio output to hear the instructions and music well.

  • A cozy, quiet place where you can be by yourself for 1 hour and where you will not be disturbed.

For whom is it?

For anyone wanting to experience more connectedness with themselves. For anyone who wants to develop more awareness around their sensations and feelings. For anyone wanting to release stress and tension (emotional as well as physical).

This trauma-sensitive movement method can be practiced at any age, with any fitness level and any flexibility. The movements are designed to be self-regulating and can be performed in any position, even lying down.

How can Non-Linear Movement enrich your life?

Trauma-sensitive embodiment practices such as NLMM, allow you to become more intimate with yourself and get to know yourself better. Becoming more familiar with your body intelligence and intuition helps you to prepare the ground for sustainable change.

Working with your intellect has its limits as a lot of information is stored in your subconscious and in your body – so you can’t access it with your head only. In general, the main problem for many of us is: being too much in our heads.

The Non-Linear Movement Method helps you to get in touch with your body and your feelings, it helps you relax, strengthen your emotional intelligence and build trust in yourself and your body. This intuitive movement method also promotes your self-confidence, your sensual perception and your resilience.

The better you get to know yourself and understand your nervous system, the easier it is to understand what you really feel and need.

The more sensitive you become to your body’s messages, the better you can respond to them and find back to balance.

Lasting change in terms of releasing blockages, unhealthy patterns as well as physical and emotional tension begins with your awareness of them.

This in turn is the base for living your life and expressing yourself the way YOU want to.
